Dr. Shane Hanzlik is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, hip preservation and replacement, and arthroscopy. He treats injuries of the hip, shoulder, and knee, and utilizes cutting-edge treatments like stem cell injections to help patients heal as quickly and safely as possible.
Dr. Hanzlik received his medical degree from the University of Nevada in Reno, NV. He then went on to complete an internship and residency at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH. He also completed a specialized fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at Orthopedic Research of Virginia in Richmond, VA. During his fellowship, Dr. Hanzlik studied under Dr. J. W. Thomas Byrd, a pioneer in hip arthroscopy, in Nashville, TN.
In addition to sports medicine and arthroscopy, Dr. Hanzlik has a special interest in hip replacement surgery and the use of cutting-edge treatments like stem cell injections. Dr. Hanzlik is one of only a few board certified surgeons in the Oregon City area offering stem cell injections to aid in recovery.
